1) Q: What are our check-in and check-out times?
A: We will be awaiting your arrival 2PM-9PM. If you arrive after 9pm just check the office front door – your site assignment, directions and further instructions will be posted for you there. On your scheduled departure date your check out time is 12noon.
2) Q: What are our payment options?
A: To reserve your Cape Cod vacation you can pay your deposit by cash, traveler's check, money order, bank check, MasterCard, Visa, Discover or a Bay View Campground gift card. Personal checks are accepted until 6 weeks prior to your arrival date.
3) Q: What Is Bay View's cancellation policy?
A: While we look forward to your stay with us, if you need to cancel there are a few different scenarios. Cancellations received more than 14 days in advance of your arrival date will receive a full refund less a $25 service charge. Cancellations received 7 to 14 days before the arrival date will receive a full refund less one night's fee. Cancellations received less than 7 days before arrival date are non-refundable. You may change your confirmed reservation dates with at least 7 days prior notification to your arrival in order to keep your deposit intact.
4) Q: What does the nightly site rate include?
A: The base rate includes two adults, one car or truck and one piece of camping equipment. Any additional campers, adults or children, will be required to pay an additional nightly fee. Each site at Bay View Campground comes equipped with water, electricity and cable television hookup, with the majority of sites having sewer. Your site will also have a picnic table to set your marshmallows on and a stone fire pit to “get to roasting”!
5) Q: What kinds of camping equipment can be accommodated at Bay View?
A: Our sites range in size but can accommodate equipment from a tent up to a 45' RV towing a 15’ storage trailer. The electricity amperage varies as well, depending on the type of site. Our tent sites are equipped with 20-amp; our water and electric sites have 30-amp and our full hookup sites come standard with 30-amp. 50-amp full hookup sites are available for an extra charge.
6) Q: May our pet come camping with us?
A: We welcome your pets with open arms! There is, however, a two pet limit per site. We have an off leash dog park for your furry family members to run free and have a great time. Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times outside of the dog park and may not be walked by a child without an adult present. We do require that our campers clean up after their pets anywhere within the Campground.
7) Q: May we have visitors while camping?
A: We do allow visitors (what would camping be without friends and family?) but we ask that you please inform any visitors of our visitor policies and fee. After registering, your guest will have full access to the park. A visitor registration is valid from the time of check in until 12noon on the following day (unless otherwise, arranged). Please note that due to the high number of registered camping families with pets, visitors may not bring their pets to Bay View.
8) Q: May we request our family's favorite campsite?
A: While we cannot completely guarantee specific sites, we gladly accept site requests and will do our best to accommodate them.
9) Q: May we have another family set up their tent and stay on our site?
A: Bay View Campground has an eight person maximum per site. If the two families combined have fewer members than eight, then they are welcome to stay on your site. Please keep in mind that each member of the second family will need to register as a visitor for their entire stay.
10) Q: May we have a campfire on our site?
A: Of course! What would camping be without one? Each site comes equipped with a field stone fireplace. To prevent the spread of insects we ask you to please not bring firewood. More information on the “don’t move firewood” program may be found here: http://dontmovefirewood.org/. We do sell bundles of firewood as well as bags of kindling at the main office for a very reasonable fee. We’ll even deliver it for you at no cost!
11) Q: When can we make reservations for the next year?
A: Beginning July 15th, we are able to take the next seasons reservations by phone.
12) Q: Does the Campground apply any discounts, such as AAA or Good Sam's?
A: At this time we do not apply any discounts other than the occasional discounts offered by Bay View.
13) Q: Does the Campground have seasonal sites?
A: Yes! Please inquire at our office for current availability and rates.
14) Q: May we bring life vests or other flotation devices into the pools?
A: You may use US Coast Guard Approved life vests in the pool. Upon entering the pool area, our pool attendants will check that the vest is stamped with that approval on the inside. The use of any other flotation devises is not permitted.
15) Q: May my child use the pools without my presence?
A: While Bay View does have a pool attendant, they are not lifeguards. Therefore, anyone under the age of 16 must have an adult (21years+) to accompany them when within the pool area.
16) Q: May we bring our bicycles?
A: Bike riding is allowed anywhere in the park with the exception of the hills or around the office, the main building, on the playgrounds, or any other place that our campers tend to gather. All bikes must be returned to your site by dusk. While we recommend that everyone wear a helmet, it is Massachusetts state law that anyone under the age of 16 must wear a helmet while bicycle riding.
17) Q: May I use my motorcycle in the park?
A: We are sorry to say that motorcycles are not permitted to be operated while in the park. We do invite you to park them in our motorcycle parking shelter near the main entrance, located across from our office.
18) Q: Is alcohol permitted?
A: Yes, alcohol may be consumed on your own site. Please do not put alcohol containers in campfires. Consumption of alcoholic beverages by anyone under the age of 21, with or without parental permission is prohibited.
19) Q: Do you sell propane?
A: Yes, we sell bottled propane. Metered propane is available.
20) Q: Do you offer WiFi Internet access?
A: Yes. There is a main hotspot at our recreational building and it is no additional cost. WiFi signal has also been installed throughout other areas of the park; however, the most reliable is at the main hotspot.
21) Q: Do you provide trash pick-up at our site?
A: We do not pick up trash at your site. There are dumpsters across from our office where you can bring your trash to be disposed of. We recycle, so aluminum cans, plastic, glass, etc., must be separated and placed in the proper recycling bins. We can only accept common household garbage in our bins.
22) Q: I'm under 21 years old; can I register for a campsite?
A: Sorry, you must be 21 years or older to register for a site or sign the visitor registration form at Bay View. We reserve the right to deny campsites to persons under the age of 21 in order to maintain the peace, quiet, and tranquility of the campground for our campers.
23) Q: May I bring my boat?
A: The Cape is a great place to go boating and we are happy to have you bring your boat. Boats are parked in our "boat storage area" adjacent to Fox Circle and are charged $5.00 per night. Boats may not be parked on your site unless you are a seasonal camper and your site is large enough to accommodate your boat. |
